Not-So-Scary Oreo Spiders

,

One of the cutest and Not-So-Scary treats to make this Halloween season are these delightful Oreo Spiders. I’ve seen variations around Pinterest that use pretzels as legs. Ours use Pocky chocolate cookie sticks; who doesn’t love more chocolate? These adorable arachnids will charm your tastebuds this spooky season.

INGREDIENTS

  • Double Stuffed Oreos
  • Pocky chocolate sticks
  • candy eyeballs
  • melting chocolate

INSTRUCTIONS

STEP 1: MAKE POCKY SPIDER LEGS To begin, break each Pocky stick to form the spiders’ legs. Depending on the length you want your spiders’ legs to be, break that far down on each stick.

STEP 2: GIVE THE SPIDERS LEGS

Insert the Pocky legs into the sides of the Oreos.

STEP 3: MELT YOUR CHOCOLATE Melt your chocolate according to package directions. You do not need much at all.

STEP 4: ATTACH EYES Using a toothpick, dab on some of the melted chocolate onto each spider where the eyes will be. Then stick on your eyeballs. Allow to set.

OTHER LEG OPTIONS

  • pretzels
  • licorice
  • melted chocolate piped out into legs and allowed to harden
